💝 Art is meant to be received, whether it's a song, a sculpture, a painting, or sushi! Whatever is created is for experiencing, enlightening, & enjoying. But art must also be interpreted to be truly complete.

💝 Ribbon in the Sky by Stevie Wonder, 1982, is a song quite familiar to me, but I never really analyzed or even thought much about the lyrics or what they might mean on different levels until that title presented itself to me. When I first started sketching out this composition, "Ribbon in the Sky" popped into my head and sent me on a quest.

💝 Upon (eagerly and happily) listening repeatedly to the song, I began to better understand the artist’s deeper message and appreciate it much more. If you haven't listened to it in a while, I encourage you to do so. No doubt you'll be moved.

💝 So much symbolism in the verses of a seemingly simple tune. Now I see and understand why this title came to mind when I first sketched the image. It's a ribbon... a bow... a gift... a promise... twists turns... celebrations... hearts... prayer... and an angel. Do you see these symbols, too? Do you feel them? Do they resonate with you?

💝 The song title sent me on a listening journey. And I love the song even more now. Hope you receive your own personal message from my Ribbon in the Sky.
