Groove

Groove

🎶 I grew up in a house (and cars) filled with music. My older brother had a stereo system and record collection to be admired. Drew graduated in '84, prime Prince years. Let's just pause for a moment of reflection and appreciation for that amazing talent.👏💜 Still, his musical tastes were not limited to just one genre, thus my music education was also well-rounded. He gave me my very first CD, Fleetwood Mac Greatest Hits. Talk about setting a high standard❗ Being 5 years my senior, Drew Pittman drove me and our sister, Kelly Pittman Gilley, everywhere with his own chosen accompaniment at nearly full volume. In the car, we listened to cassettes long before CDs hit the scene. While music technology has advanced rapidly and dramatically, the sound quality of vinyl is still unmatched and unmistakable. Plus, album covers are quite beautiful! 🎨 This painting displays an abstract turntable with the needle dropped on spinning records, hearts, x's & o's, all expressing a sincere love of music and memories of the soundtrack of youth. I hope ya dig the groove!
