This jubilant expression full of love and fun and excitement started as a sketch of a wooden angel that stands in my studio window. The prepped board was bubblegum pink and I sketched in red pastel. When I went to load my paint palette, I was drawn to bold colors and lots of them! I often use white or black as an anchor, but this piece would only allow vibrant color! It felt joyful, playful even, like a circus or a playground! It evolved into a bubbling up, bursting, overflowing, Joy Explosion!
